Beneficial Microbes & Bacteria

Microbes include fungi, bacteria and viruses are often thought of as destructive to plants and crops. In fact, a lot of microbes are beneficial. Soil microbes (bacteria and fungi) are essential for decomposing organic matter and recycling old plant material, and can add a biological shield against pathogenic bacteria, fungi and viruses. Beneficial microbes share a symbiotic relationship with plants. Traditionally used in Soil biology, beneficial microbes have also found their place in organic hydroponic systems, especially aquaponics systems and deep water culture.
