The Dimlux plant temperature sensor camera is a high-performance spare part, which allows the Maxi light controller to adjust the grow room's environmental conditions. The plant temperature sensor camera delivers precise readings of leaf temperatures at the canopy's level and feeds the data to the light controller. The information is used with the humidity and ambient temperature readings to display the vapour pressure deficit (VPD) value. Higher VPD readings mean increased pressure deficit between the surrounding air and the plats. Large deficits mean that the crops lose more water through their stomata. And low deficits mean that the crops are holding onto the water. The Maxi light controller can regulate the lighting output based on the difference in temperature between the surrounding atmosphere and the plants.

The unit is used with the Maxi Controller. It points towards the crops and takes accurate leaf temperature readings. The controller collects the data and uses it together with the readings from the humidity probe and the temperature probe to assess the VPD levels. The VPD level offers the grower precise information on the plants' transpiration rates needed to reach a balance with the surrounding environment. The controller displays the plant temperature values in two ways such as the PT and the AT. The "PT" is the actual plant temperature and the "AT" is the balance between the temperature in the room and the plant temperature. AT must be at the lowest possible values, while PT must be within 2 degrees of the environment temperature.
How to Use
The camera is easy to set-up. Plug the camera into the Maxi Controller's infrared socket and place the camera overlooking the crops at a 45 degrees angle. The camera covers a surface equal to the distance squared. If the camera is 60 cm away from the crops, it will cover an area of 60 cm square. The controller provides readings in kPa (kilopascals). VPD readings in kPA must be close to 1.2.
