TrolMaster Hydro-X - Water Detector (WD-1)

Overview

The TrolMaster WD-1 Water Detector offers versatile functionality, serving as both a leak-detector and a water-verification monitor. As a leak-detector, it can be used to monitor floors or spaces for water, alerting users to potential leaks. Alternatively, when utilised as a water-verification monitor, the WD-1 is strategically placed to detect accumulated runoff or water in the growing medium. Each output (solenoid or pump) on the Aqua-x can be assigned to a specific WD-1, ensuring precise water monitoring. With the ability to connect up to 25 WD-1 detectors to a single Aqua-X, this water detector is a valuable tool for effective irrigation management.

How to Use

Using the TrolMaster WD-1 Water Detector is straightforward and can be adapted based on specific requirements.

As a leak-detector, position the WD-1 in areas prone to water leaks or spills. It will promptly detect water, alerting users to potential issues.

For water-verification monitoring, place the WD-1 where runoff accumulates or where water is introduced to the growing medium. Assign each output (solenoid or pump) on the Aqua-X to a specific WD-1 for precise water monitoring. Set an adjustable delay time for water detection in the Aqua-x settings. If the WD-1 fails to detect water within the specified time, the Aqua-X will send out an irrigation failure alert, enabling quick response to any issues.

To activate the Auto-Fill function on the Aqua-X Pro, use two water detectors (WD-1/2) positioned at the bottom and top of the nutrient tank. When the liquid level drops below the bottom sensor, the Aqua-X Pro will activate a solenoid or pump, refilling the tank up to the sensor at the top.
